I love everything spooky and wanted to incorporate that into my big 30th birthday party!
I kicked off the party with a girls only candle making session! I hired a local occult specialist, Pentacle Path, to come over and teach us how to make our own magic candles. It was honestly a perfect way to start off a new decade (in my life and 2020 for the rest of the guests). She taught us how to set intentions and more. We built our own candles – each color, crystal, scent, flower and herb meant something and aligned with our intentions. She focused the session on starting new/setting goals for a new year.
Then our husbands/boyfriends came over for cake and sparkly margaritas. I got a ghost meter as a gift and we tested it out around the house.
We then went over to the most haunted bar in Detroit, The Two Way Inn. The ghost meter was off the charts at that place!
For decorations, I wanted it to be upscale spooky – so I had lots of silver-y ghosts laying around.
